Move Functions in Contextual Menus

The "Move to..." functions transfer objects or group of objects to different or new groups or to different layers without having to redraw them. There are three (3) Move to... functions :

Move to this Layer

The Move to this Layer function transfers an object or a group of objects to another layer. If no other layer has been created, this function will remain deactivated.

Move to this Group

The Move to this Group function transfers an object or a group of objects to another group of the same type. If no other group has been created, this function will remain deactivated. The available groups will be displayed in a dropdown list next to the contextual menu. Select and click the destination group with the mouse.

Move to a New Group

The Move to a New Group function (or Shift-G on the keyboard) transfers an object or a group of objects to a new group which is automatically created. The parameters of the new group (name etc...) can be edited in the Properties panel. A group must contain at least two (2) objects to enable this function. A single object in a group can not be moved to a new group.
