Export to Excel

The "Export to Excel" button opens Excel and exports the data of the selected groups generated by Active Takeoff in an Excel spreadsheet. The export format can be set "By Groups", "By Plans" or "By Layers" like in the report. This setting is selected with the "Filter Groups" button.

exports, according to the selected report, a Takeoff report or an Estimating Report.

If Excel is already opened on another Active Takeoff export spreadsheet, this message will appear :

Save your project, quit your Excel spreadsheet which contains the Active Takeoff previous export and retry.

Once Excel is opened, Active Takeoff exports many different report types in one spreadsheet. The user can choose the best suited report with the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet. The tabs are named :

Consolidated Report
Detailed Report
Short Report

The Estimating Report will export a report of this type in Excel:

The data sent to Excel can then be used by the user in many ways. The highlighted cells are modifiable.
