Change Data Folder

It is possible to modify the default data folder in which Active Takeoff saves all the necessary files.

Changing the data folder is useful for :

Sharing projects and data between multiple users.
Saving on a shared folder which is backed up.

No matter where the project files are located, Active Takeoff keeps track of the associated files even after a change of data folders. Changing the data folder will not automatically move the previously saved projects but will save the new projects at the new location after the data folder location change.

Changing the data folder

Locate the "Change Data Folder" menu item in the System Tools menu to change the location of the data folder.

Active Takeoff will display this window :

Click on the "..." button to change the data folder. This will open a directory selection window.

Use the "Create New Folder" button, if needed. When the new data folder is selected, click the "OK" button.

Active Takeoff must be restarted for the changes to take effect.

The default data folder when Active Takeoff is installed is ...\Documents\Active Takeoff.
