Saving a Project
The "Save" function in Active Takeoff are managed by Windows. A Active Takeoff project can be saved anywhere on a computer, a server, on USB support, etc...
When a project is open, it can be saved at any time by clicking the save icon located at the top of the "File" menu tab or with the "Save" menu item form the "File" menu.
The location of the project folder is selected when creating the project:
The user can access this window again and verify the location of the project folder by selecting the "Properties" item in the "File" menu.
The file name used by Active Takeoff is the project name entered when creating a project followed by the date of the first save. For the following saves, the window will not appear and the file will be overwritten at the previously set location.
The default Active Takeoff project (.qpl) save directory is...\Documents\Active Takeoff\My Projects
The default data folder location, where the projects are saved by default, can be set by the user. To change the default data folder, please go to the Change Data Folder chapter.
